With just one race to go in the 2015 season, Alex Bowman and the Tommy Baldwin Racing team had their sights set on Homestead-Miami Speedway, as Bowman prepared to complete his second full-time season in NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series. After Friday’s qualifying session, Bowman and the No. 7 Nikko RC/Toy State Chevrolet would take the green flag in 33rd position for Sunday’s Ford EcoBoost 400.
Rain delayed the start of the race and brought out a competition caution on Lap 30 and in the opening laps, Bowman had showed the he had a strong car, working his way up to 24th. After working with crew chief and team owner Tommy Baldwin on adjustments throughout the race, Bowman brought home a 26th place finish to end the season.
